There is a lot of discussion about “The Best Time of the Year”. I have seen many discussions about it in many Disney forums. I have seen sites like Undercover Tourist or Touring Plans, that offer many calendars. I am a fan of the Crowd Calendar on Undercover Tourist. It is very extensive and includes not just Disney but all the local Orlando attractions.
Alright, now time for my personal opinion. I know you were waiting for it! Whenever you go to Disney is a great time to be at Disney! You are in a Magical Location and you are there to have fun! Not freak out about lines and rude people. Now all that being said, I love the off-season times! When the kids are in school and there are no National holidays!! Our last visit was the third week of January and we loved it! We were able to walk right on to many rides and some we decided to walk on again! It was amazing. I have also spoken with many people who have visited in September and October and they said the weather was perfect and the rides were less crowded.
Disney is not a traveling attraction, it will be there the next time you go, if the park is a bit busy and you miss a ride, put it on your list for the first ride you will ride the next time you go! I am traveling back March, I have one main ride on my list! The last visit to Hollywood Studios, my son was a bit afraid to ride The Rock ‘n‘ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. So not to add drama or stress by dragging on a sacred 5-year-old, we skipped that ride. My plan is to walk in the gates, get my FastPass for Toy Story Mania! then get in line for the coaster. I will post pictures as soon as I get off!!
